A fresh start for a forever home
For this family in Clifton, New Jersey, moving wasn’t the right choice, but refreshing their property was. Their home’s landscape hadn’t been updated in over a decade. The kids were older, they needed more usable space, and the front yard didn’t feel as welcoming as they wanted.
They reached out to JB'S Landscaping for a complete front-to-back transformation. The result? A beautiful, functional landscape with upgraded hardscaping, drainage, privacy planting, lighting, and new sod, all built to last.
Here's What We Did...
This was a multi-zone project with improvements across the front yard, backyard, and both sides of the house. Our team managed everything from demolition to finished details.
Front Yard

- Removed and replaced the walkway with rebar and concrete base
- Repaired and resurfaced front steps using Bluestone
- Graded and replanted flower beds
- Ground out large stumps, leveled yard, and prepared for sod
- Installed shrubs and mulch for low-maintenance curb appeal
Right Side of House

- Removed a concrete wall and sidewalk
- Installed new Bluestone steps and stepping stones
- Added path lighting for safety and ambiance
Backyard

- Cleared out stumps, plants, debris, and stone
- Graded the entire yard
- Installed a Flo-Well dry well system using NDS materials to solve runoff issues affecting neighbors
- Installed 14 Green Giants for privacy
- Planted shrubs and perennials alongside the house
- Installed 3,740 sq ft of sod
- Added landscape lighting for visual interest and safety
