How Much Does Pool Landscaping Cost?

How Much Does Pool Landscaping Cost?

The cost to landscape around your pool can vary depending on the size of the pool and how you envision your space.  We can build whatever you'd like, but here is a rough idea on price ranges for pool landscaping.

Small Pool Areas

$15,000 - $30,000

This would be for a smaller pool and may include surrounding gardens, a small patio, steps or stairs to an above-ground pool  or maybe a simple pergola.

Medium Sized Pool Area

$30,000 - $75,000

This price range could include a pergola or pavilion, a paver pool surround, surrounding gardens, possibly an outdoor grilling station, and more.

Luxury Pool Area

$75,000 - $200,000+

This would be for a larger project including large paver pool deck, outdoor seating or lounge area, pergola or pavilion, and an outdoor kitchen.

Pool Landscaping Design & Installation

Here are some of the more popular landscaping upgrades for your pool area

Paver Pool Decks: Installing or upgrading to a paver pool deck offers a durable, non-slip surface that is available in a variety of colors and styles to complement the home and landscape.

Outdoor Kitchens: Integrating an outdoor kitchen near the pool area provides a perfect spot for entertaining and dining al fresco without having to travel far from the fun.

Pergolas and Pavilions: Adding a pergola or pavilion provides shaded areas, making the poolside comfortable during hot days and adding a stylish architectural element to the space.

Seat Walls and Benches: Building seat walls or benches around the pool deck not only provides additional seating but also serves as an informal barrier that subtly defines the pool area.

Fire Features: Incorporating elements such as fire pits or fireplaces near the pool area extends the usability of the space into cooler evenings and adds a cozy, inviting glow.

Water Features: Adding waterfalls, fountains, or other water features to the pool design can create a serene atmosphere and enhance the sensory experience.

Landscape Lighting: Strategic placement of outdoor lighting can transform the pool area into an evening retreat, highlighting architectural features, and ensuring safety for nighttime use.

Planting Beds: Surrounding the pool with lush planting beds filled with low-maintenance plants can add color, interest, and even privacy, helping to integrate the pool with the rest of the garden.

Decorative Stone and Mulch: Using decorative stones or mulch in garden beds around the pool can help reduce maintenance by suppressing weeds and adding a polished look to the landscaping.

Privacy Screens: Adding hedges, privacy fences, or screens can increase seclusion for pool goers and block unwanted views, making the pool area more secluded and intimate.

Deck Extensions and Renovations: Expanding the existing decking or renovating it with modern materials can provide more space for lounging, sunbathing, and poolside activities.

I have had JB's complete 2 projects at my house, one a firepit with patio and the other was a retaining wall along my driveway. Very happy with both projects and the quality of work. I would definitely recommend JB's for any type of hardscape projects.

We have been customers since 2012! Every year we start off the season with a Spring Clean up in our gardens and lawn followed by a lawn fertilization. Then our weekly lawn cuttings go from mid April to late October early November. The maintenance team does a thorough job leaving our lawn looking neat and nicely manicured. The office staff is attentive and makes sure to satisfy our special requests. Kudos to JB’s, you will look forward to seeing their truck pull up to your property every week! LO (Blairstown)
